Haven’t blogged in forever!! But predicting the NFL season is always fun every year. I’m gonna put my prediction down for every single team, Yes, all 32. I have a ton of time on my hands, so I figure I would kill a few hours doing this. So here we go.
National Football Conference
NFC EAST
Philadelphia Eagles - 12-4 - Division Champs
- With the addition of Nnamdi Asomugha and DRC, the Eagles will have the best secondary in the NFL. And of course, if Vick can continue to be the Quarterback he was last year the Eagles should win this division with a favorable schedule playing the NFC West and the Redskins twice.
Dallas Cowboys – 10-6 – Wild Card
- With a healthy Romo coming back, the Cowboys should obviously be better than they were last year. Make the playoffs but that’s really about it.
New York Giants – 8-8
- I don’t really like what the Giants did in the offseason. They really didn’t get any better, might have even gotten worse.
Washington Redskins – 2-14
- The Redskins are going to be the worst team in the NFL. Period
NFC SOUTH
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 11-5 – Division Champs
- You gotta love Josh Freeman. Raheem Morris has changed this team’s culture. I believe it’s their year. Nobody repeats as division champs in this division.
New Orleans Saints – 10-6 – Wild Card
- The Super Bowl Champs from two years ago will still be very good. They won’t start 13-0 but they will be a solid playoff team.
Atlanta Falcons – 10-6
- I still stay with my opinion that this team DRASTICALLY over achieved last season. They will take a few steps back and barely miss the playoffs.
Carolina Panthers – 4-12
- This team will be a little improved because they did some good things in the offseason and we’ll all see of Cam Newton is the player the Panthers hope he is.
NFC WEST
Arizona Cardinals – 8-8 – Division Champs
- The trade for Kevin Kolb puts this team ahead of the rest of this weak division. Patrick Peterson, the best prospect in last year’s draft will step right in and fill the void left by DRC.
St. Louis Rams – 7-9
- No Sophomore Slump for Sam Bradford, he improves but the Rams just miss the playoffs.
Seattle Seahawks – 6-10
- The Seahawks will take a little step back in Pete’s second season. They have a harder schedule this year and the NFC West is much improved.
San Francisco 49ers – 4-12
- The 49ers are doing everything they can to get Andrew Luck.
NFC NORTH
Green Bay Packers – 14-2 – Division Champs
- The Super Bowl Champs have everybody coming back from the IR. They will be back and better than they were last year when they won it all. Aaron Rodgers will have the best Regular Season of his career. Best team during the Regular Season. Enough said.
Minnesota Vikings – 8-8
- The Vikings will improve with the addition of Donovan McNabb. This team has too much talent to go under .500 two years in a row.
Detroit Lions – 7-9
- The Lions will be much improved. This is a team that will be in the playoffs in the next two years.
Chicago Bears – 6-10
- The Bears over achieved a little bit last year with an easy schedule. The schedule will be tougher this year with a much improved division and they will take a big step back.
American Football Conference
AFC EAST
New York Jets – 11-5 – Division Champs
- This is finally the year the Jets de-thrown the Patriots for the Division crown… Sadly.
New England Patriots – 11-5 – Wild Card
- There is no denying that the Patriots over achieved last season and Tom Brady, as great as he is will just not be able to have a TD to interception ratio of 9-1!!!!! Again. His brilliant season and a lot of luck were the main reasons we went 14-2 last year and TB will have another great year, just not that great. At some point, getting players like Randy Moss and Corey Dillon and making them great again, just isn’t going to work. Fat Albert will be the biggest test of the Patriot’s way and we’ll just have to see how it goes. The Pats make the playoffs but get swept by the Jets who just seem to know how to beat us.
Miami Dolphins – 5-11
- Who is this team’s quarterback?
Buffalo Bills – 4-12
- Same old Bills… till they move to Los Angeles.
AFC SOUTH
Houston Texans – 10-6 – Division Champs
- We say this every year, but I really believe that this is really the year the Texans take down the Colts in this division.
Indianapolis Colts – 10-6 – Wild Card
- The Colts did basically nothing in free agency, other than re-sign the 2nd best QB in the NFL. However, with the neck injury Peyton will miss camp and that will throw off the whole team. Colts get off to a rough start but in the end, they will make the playoffs.
Tennessee Titans – 6-10
- Matt Hasselbeck! …will definitely struggle this year.
Jacksonville Jaguars – 5-11
- Same old Jags… Till they move to Los Angeles.
AFC WEST
San Diego Chargers – 13-3 – Division Champs
- This is the team to beat in the AFC. Phillip Rivers is one of the five best quarterbacks in this league and this is the season he is going to prove it. He will have an MVP season and the Chargers will be the class of the AFC and finally get home field advantage for the playoffs.
Kansas City Chiefs – 8-8
- The Chiefs benefited from an easy schedule last year. Not so lucky this year.
Oakland Raiders – 7-9
- The Raiders take a little step back after firing Tom Cable. There will be no sweeping the division this year. Al Davis is still in the front office.
Denver Broncos – 3-13
AFC NORTH
Baltimore Ravens – 12-4
- The Ravens will be just about as good as they were last year. Another year for Flacco to gel with Boldin and they will be one of the best teams in the AFC. And they better take advantage of it, considering this just about the end of Ed Reed and Ray Lewis.
Pittsburgh Steelers – 10-6
- The last two times the Steelers went to the Super Bowl, they missed the playoffs the next year.
Cleveland Browns – 7-9
- The Browns will make a huge improvement this year. We will get an entire season from Colt McCoy and with a very easy schedule, the Browns will surprise everyone.
Cincinnati Bengals – 3-13
PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS

- Dallas gets their second playoff win in the last 15 years. Dallas moves on.
AFC
New England vs. Houston
- After three years, Brady and Belichick finally get a playoff win. Pats move on.
Indianapolis Colts vs. New York Jets
- Jets beat them last year and they’re better. Colts lost last year and they’re worse. Jets move on.
Divisional Round

New Orleans vs. Philadelphia
- Vick won’t make the same mistake again. Eags move on.
Dallas vs. Green Bay
- Champs are just too much at home. The Pack move on.
AFC
New England vs. San Diego
- Redemption for 2006. Chargers move on.
New York Jets vs. Baltimore
- I’ll take the veteran defense. Ravens move on.
Conference Championship Round
NFC
Philadelphia vs. Green Bay
- Vick once beat the Packers at Lambeau in the freezing cold with the Falcons. He does it again. Eags move on.
AFC
Baltimore vs. San Diego
- Phillip Rivers comes through in the clutch. Chargers move on.
SUPER BOWL XLVI
San Diego Chargers 38, Philadelphia Eagles 24
Rivers wins MVP by throwing all over the best secondary in the NFL. And those are my predictions for the 2011-2012 season.
